Fittall the Flyer


Vaughan Fittall desperately wanted to fly, so when WWII broke out he jumped at the chance to join the New Zealand Air Force, and soon found himself in the thick of battle over Europe, fighting for freedom.

This book is dedicated to Vaughan Fittall and his family, and to all the brave men and women who have served in the New Zealand Defence Force.

This is a large paperback book with over 30 pages. Written by Toby Butland, and designed by Katharine Hall, it also contains impactful illustrations by Jo Ruthven.

The forward is by Sir Tim Wallis and there are sections at the back covering subjects such as the Hawker Typhon, ANZAC Day, and the RSA.
