The Exhibition Hall will be a large-scale, purpose-built facility designed to showcase the aircraft in an immersive, accessible, and welcoming environment. Visitors will be able to explore the aircraft up close, engage with interactive displays, and connect with the stories of the people who served aboard them.

A forever home for icons of service
They carry the stories of the crews who flew them, the families who waited at home, and the many people whose lives were changed or saved through their missions. Their history is inseparable from the people they served, the aircrew, ground staff, families, and the countless New Zealanders and international communities supported through humanitarian and rescue operations.
The Exhibition Hall will be:
- Fit for purpose — designed to safely house two of the RNZAF’s largest and most significant aircraft
- Sustainable — built with long-term environmental and energy efficiency in mind
- Accessible and welcoming — ensuring visitors of all ages and abilities can explore and learn
- Experience-rich — featuring immersive storytelling, interactive displays, and personal accounts from those who served
Visitors won’t just see the aircraft, they’ll connect with the people, missions, and moments that shaped New Zealand’s history. The Hall will support school programmes, marae visits, special exhibitions, and community events, creating a space for learning, remembrance, and connection.
