Our Bell UH-1H Iroquois is one of the treasures of our collection – and it was a critical component of the New Zealand Defence Force’s deployment to the Solomon Islands in 2004.
The Huey, which served in the RNZAF for an astonishing 49 years, was ideally suited to ferrying troops and supplies around the challenging terrain of the Solomon Islands.
Join retired Group Captain Steve Goodman, one of our guides and part of the peacekeeping mission more than 20 years ago, for a talk about the Solomons Huey on Sunday 8 February at 10.30am and 1pm.
The talk is FREE and on beside the Huey in our Thérèse Angelo Wing.
